Steel inventory at key Chinese mills drops slightly in mid-Sep’21 – CISA data

Data from the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) shows that steel inventory at key Chinese steel mills in mid-Sep’21 was 13.302 mn t, a decrease of 21,400 t from the previous month. However, steel inventory decreased by 124,700 t compared to end-Aug, a decline of over 0.9%. Prevailing steel production cuts in China have led to fast depletion of inventory, SteelMint notes.
