Shipbreaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market increased by INR 400/t, d-o-d, as per SteelMint assessment. Heavy Melting Scrap (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 36,000/t, while attachment scrap prices have been reported at INR 37,000/t. Improvement in scrap offers are a result of strengthening semi-finished steel prices, particularly in the late hours yesterday, SteelMint notes.
