SteelMint’s assessment for sponge C-DRI (FeM 80%, mix material) in Rourkela fell by INR 150/t to INR 31,650/t exw. A total of 700 t of deals were confirmed in the range of INR 31,600-31,700/t exw. A deal for 800 t of P-DRI was reported for Raipur and the local area at INR 29,600/t exw-Jharsuguda. Falling billet prices have put pressure on sponge iron prices, SteeMint notes.
