Bangladesh: Re-bar offers from major mills stable despite weak demand

Steel mills in Bangladesh are offering re-bar (10-16mm) at BDT 71,000-73,000/t ($831-855) exy-Chittagong, as per SteelMint reports.
Re-bar demand is likely to improve due to resumption of full-scale construction activities in the coming months.
In contrast, offers by Dhaka-based plants are stable at BDT 66,000-67,000/t ($773-784) on exy basis. COVID-19 has impacted steel demand, with inventory levels going up at major mills.
