SAIL conducted an auction today for 20,500 t (60 kg and 52kg, full length) commercial rails from the Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) in Chhattisgarh. Buyers booked the entire quantity of 60 kg rails (18,000 t) at a weighted average price of INR 39,900/t exw. About 2,500 t of 52 kg rails were booked at a base price of INR 46,500/t exw.
