Heavy structural steel manufacturers in Raipur, one of the major supply markets in Central India, have increased prices by INR 500/t today. Current offer for 150 mm Channel stands at INR 48,000/t exw. However, sellers also offer trade discounts depending upon the quantity and market requirement. Despite weak demand in structural steel, rising raw material costs pushed the manufacturers to increase its prices, trade sources reported to SteelMint.
