Australian premium low-volatile (PLV) hard coking coal prices increased by $19/t on 17 Sep’21 to reach its 10-year high level of $379/t FOB, last witnessed in 2011, on active buying in ex-China Asian markets amidst limited spot availability. A contract for 75,000 t of PLV hard coking coal was signed on globalCOAL at $380/t FOB Australia for Nov laycan, as against $355/t FOB earlier this week.
