North China’s coal hub plans to raise output to meet winter demand

As China’s coal restocking demand ahead of winter picks up, North China’s coal hub of Xilingol in Inner Mongolia has planned to increase production and supply, as per latest reports. During Jan-Jul’21, the region’s raw coal output rose by 10.9%, y-o-y. However, electricity demand increased by a faster pace of 30.8% during the period, reports citing data from the local statistics bureau informed.
