Rungta Mines, the largest Iron ore miner in the state of Odisha, with 12 MnT pa productions, has raised Iron ore Lumps and fines prices w.e.f. 20 May, 2014.
Improved demand for Iron ore because of Supreme Court’s interim order, which stated suspension of mining operations at 26 Iron ore and Manganese ore mines, has pushed up prices. The suspension of mining operations is expected to create huge shortfall of Iron ore in the months ahead.

In spite of having Iron ore Fines of higher grade (Fe 63), the prices of Rungta Joda Fines are less than those of Rungta Koira mines (Fe 62). This is because of high loading cost at Rungta Koira mines.

Essel Mining Iron Ore Prices remain unchanged. Serajuddin and Indrani Patnaik hold Iron ore offers as the miners have received enough booking for the ongoing month.
