Melting scrap prices weakened in most regions on 16 Sep’21, as per SteelMint. Prices dropped by up to INR 700/t ($9.5) in the Punjab market following a correction in prices of semis amid dull sentiments in the finished steel segment. However, scrap prices remained supported in other markets, while slight material shortage was reported. However, prices may fall in the Alang market, sources informed.
