SteelMint’s assessment for sponge iron in Odisha’s Rourkela stands at INR 30,650/t on 15 Sept’21, up INR 50/t, d-o-d. Around 5,700 t of C-DRI (70:30 mix material) deals were confirmed in the range of INR 30,350-30,700/t exw. A deal for 1,000 t was concluded to Patna (Bihar) at INR 30,600/t exw. Some sellers have stopped production due to heavy rainfall from the past two days.
