Turkey’s ferrous scrap import prices rise in recent deals

Ferrous scrap import prices into Turkey have increased by $6/t in a fresh deal, sources informed SteelMint.
A US-origin cargo was booked by a West Marmara-based steel mill comprising HMS 1&2 (80:20) at a price of $442/t CFR.
Shredded and bonus scrap were booked at around $457/t on CFR levels.
The deals were finalised for Oct’21 shipments.
