In a confirmed deal, 12,000 t of South African RB2 (5500 NAR) grade coal was sold at INR 10,600/t at Paradip port. Given limited availability of RB2 coal and rising imported coal prices, RB2 portside prices remain elevated. At Gangavaram and Vizag ports, offers for RB2 coal are heard at 11,000/t. However, deals at these rates are yet to be concluded.
