Taiwan’s finished flat steel export volumes dropped 22% on month on declines across all sub-commodities. The volumes in Aug’21 stood at 587,848 t as against 754,876 t in Jul, as per customs data maintained with SteelMint.
- HRC/plate exports fell 15% to 249,019 t
- Galvanised steel exports slid to 136,556 t (down 37%)
- CRC exports were at 99,383 t (down 20%)
- Electrical steels exports stood at 68,433 t (down 7%)
- Pipes and tubes exports inched down to 27,771 t (down 29%).
The major export destinations were China, Vietnam, Japan, and the US.
