Australian premium low-volatile (PLV) hard coking coal prices surged by $11/t on 8 Sept’21 to a five-year high level of $300/t FoB on robust demand in the Asian markets except China alongside persistent supply shortage of spot cargoes. A trade was concluded at $300/t FoB for 75,000 t of Australian Saraji PLV, with mid-Nov laycan.
