Australian premium hard coking coal prices increased by $10/t to $289/t FoB on 7 Sept’21 riding on strong buying interest in markets outside of China. Bids firmed up but offers remained limited amidst supply shortage. The highest incremental bid was heard at $285/t FoB Australia for 75,000 t of globalCOAL branded Peak Downs low-volatile hard coking coal with Oct’21 laycan. An offer was indicated at $299/t FoB Australia for premium mid-volatile Illawarra material.
