Indian private steel major, Jindal Steel and Power Ltd (JSPL), reported a 6%, m-o-m, increase in sales volumes in Aug’21 with support from exports, as per the company’s latest BSE filing. The manufacturer’s export sales accounted for 42% of total sales in Aug. Total sales stood at 0.71 million tonnes (mn t) compared to 0.67 mn t in Jul. Similarly, on an annualised basis, sales volumes grew 4% against 0.682 mn t in Aug’20. However, domestic demand remained sluggish owing to the monsoon disruption.
