Steel billet prices in China’s Tangshan market rose by RMB 40/t ($6/t) on 6 Sept’21. Domestic billet prices are at RMB 5,080/t ($787/t), inclusive of 13% VAT. According to data maintained with SteelMint, China’s rebar futures contract for Jan’22 delivery closed today at RMB 5,473/t ($847/t), witnessing an increase of RMB 65/t ($10/t) against the closing on 3 Sept.
