PSU steelmaker Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) has scheduled an auction for 4,000 t (two rakes) of basic grade pig iron on 8 Sept’21 from its Bokaro Steel Plant in Jharkhand, as per SteelMint reports. At the previous auction on 1 Sept, 4,000 t of pig iron was booked at the base price of INR 37,200/t exw. Bid prices decreased by INR 1,000/t ($13/t) in comparison with the earlier auction on 18 Aug, which had concluded at a weighted average price of INR 38,200/t exw.
