About 10,000 t pig iron deals concluded for north India

As per trade sources, about four rakes (equivalent to 10,000 t) of foundry grade pig iron deals were concluded to the northern region through tender or direct deal basis in the last couple of days. Out of four rakes, two were booked by Delhi-based traders, while the rest by Punjab-based traders. The price range was heard at INR 42,800-42,900/t for Delhi and INR 43,000-43,300/t for Punjab, on delivered to siding basis.

• Current foundry grade pig iron offers for second sale (through traders) are at INR 43,500-43,700/t for Ludhiana and at INR 43,200-43,400/t for Delhi, on a delivered basis (including local freight costs).
