CRC scrap prices remain rangebound in the major scrap markets in the northern and southern regions, while prices improved in the western region on tight availability on 2 Sept’21. Prevailing CRC sheet cutting scrap offers are assessed at INR 40,000-40,400/t at Mandi Gobindgarh. Prices are at INR 36,200-36,500/t in Chennai and at INR 37,800-38,200/t in Jalna, Maharashtra. Turning scrap offers, however, have been reported at INR 32,800-33,200/t and INR 31,700-32,100/t in Jalna and Chennai, respectively on a DAP basis, excluding GST, market participants informed.
