CRC scrap prices rebounded, with the maximum range observed in the northern region, whereas the western and southern regions remained largely rangebound on 1 Sep’21. Prevailing CRC sheet cutting scrap offers are assessed at INR 40,100-40,500/t at Mandi Gobindhgarh. Prices are at INR 36,200-36,600/t in Chennai and at INR 37,400-37,800/t in Jalna, Maharashtra. Turning scrap offers, however, have been reported at INR 32,600-33,000/t and INR 31,700-32,100/t in Jalna and Chennai, respectively on a DAP basis, excluding GST, market participants informed.
