Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (MSIL) posted total sales of 130,699 units in Aug’21, down 20%, m-o-m, compared to 162,462 units in Jul’21. Total sales in the month include domestic sales of 105,775 units, sales to other OEM of 4,305 units and exports of 20,619 units. The company’s sales volume in Aug was affected due to electronic components shortage. Hence MSIL took all possible measures to limit the adverse impact. The sales volume, impacted due to COVID-related disruptions, stood at 124,624 units in Aug’20, up 5% y-o-y.
