Japan: Finished flat steel exports up 4% m-o-m in Jul’21

Japan’s finished flat steel export volumes stood at 2.229 mn t in Jul’21, up 4% against 2.135 mn t in the preceding month, as per customs data maintained with SteelMint.

Product wise break up:

• HRC/plate exports stood at 1.2 mn t in Jul against 1.15 mn t last month.
• CRC exports were at 189,519 t in Jul compared to 181,544 t in Jun.
• Leading export destinations were Thailand and China followed by South Korea and Mexico.
