India’s re-bar production up nearly 5% on month to 2.46 mn t in Jul’21

Total production of re-bars in the country, manufactured via the BF and IF routes, increased by 4.6% on month in Jul’21 to 2.46 mn t against 2.35 mn t in Jun, as per SteelMint data. Company-wise, production has mostly risen in Jul except that of integrated producer JSPL, which witnessed a sharp decline of 35% in its TMT output to 0.084 mn t in the month. On the other hand, JSW Steel’s production increased 32% owing to strong export offers.
