Melting scrap prices saw a minor fluctuation on 30 Aug’21, with prices rising marginally by INR 300-400/t especially in the Punjab market due to price improvements in semi-finished steel as well as inadequate scrap supply. Scrap prices in the Maharashtra-based Jalna market, on the other hand, fell by a more or less similar margin owing to limited trades. Prices are likely to witness minor changes on a daily basis, trader sources reported to SteelMint.
