South African iron ore lump import offers into India have increased, tracking the hike in global iron ore prices, as per SteelMint reports. The current assessment for imported lump (Fe 65%) stands at $170/t CNF Kandla. Meanwhile, benchmark global iron ore fines (Fe 62%) prices have increased by $33/t, w-o-w, to $153/t CNF China on 27 Aug’21 amid steel production curbs. The spot iron ore lump premium has fallen from $0.21/dry mtu, as assessed last week, to $0.13/dmtu this week.
