Alang’s shipbreaking scrap prices decreased marginally by INR 300-400/t, d-o-d, as per SteelMint assessment. HMS (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 35,800-35,900/t. Attachment scrap prices stand at INR 36,800-36,900/t. A nominal correction in scrap prices was observed yesterday due to the correction in semi-finished steel prices, which resulted in slight adjustments in bids and offers on 24 Aug’21, sources informed.
