Western India-based Jindal SAW Ltd. has decreased pellet offers further by INR 500/t ($7) today. The current offer for Fe 63% pellet stands at INR 13,500/t DAP Kandla, SteelMint learnt from sources. The company’s pellet production capacity is 1.2 mn t/year from its facility at Bhilwara in Rajasthan. The Bhilwara plant is a key source of raw materials for Gujarat-based units. A sharp fall in pellet offers in eastern India and declining global prices have resulted in a reduction in offers by the pellet producer.
