Odisha based Pellet maker has evinced interest in tying up with public sector steel maker SAIL for utilization of the unused low grade fines.

SAIL is looking for partners for utilizing its unused low grade Iron ore fines laying at several mines heads located in Odisha & Jharkhand. A senior official of SAIL has estimated that the amount of low grade fines stashed at the mines head would be about 10 MnT and out of this more than 3-4 MnT of fines laying in Odisha (Bolani mines) itself. SAIL is the state owned largest steel producer with an annual production of 13.5 MnT.
