Cokeries in Hebei province’s Xingtai region proposed seventh round of price hike by CNY 120/tonne (t) on metallurgical coke, effective from 27 Aug’21, bringing the total uptick to CNY 840/t since early-Aug’21. Besides, several cokeries in Shandong province are set to hike coke prices by CNY 120/t, effective from 27 Aug’21. After price adjustment, ex-mill prices of grade II coke is at CNY 3,390-3,410/t, off-grade I coke of wet quench at CNY 3,450-3,500/t, and off-grade I coke of dry quench at CNY 3,820-3,870/t, including taxes.
