State-run Steel Authority of India Ltd. (SAIL) conducted an auction for 2.850 t (one rake) of pig iron on 25 Aug’21 from its Bokaro Steel Plant in Jharkhand. The company started the auction at INR 38,000/t but was unable to attract buyers, as per sources. The auction closed without a single bid. At the previous auction on 18 Aug, a single rake (2,000 t) was booked at INR 38,200/t exw, sources had informed SteelMint. Bid prices are more or less stable compared to an earlier auction conducted on 14 Aug.
