FAM in today's evening meeting has decided to temporarily postpone the agitation for abolition of LBT & Octroi from Maharashtra till 24th May. LBT will be implied in Mumbai from 1st October whereas it has been implemented in Pune along with 2 small cities.
Pradeep Shah member of FAM said, 'there is a meeting with C. M. on 24th May along with Shri Sharad Pawar & we expect that this issue will be resolved for ever'
He also added, 'If at all we do not succeed in this meeting, then further strategy will be decided & informed accordingly. Once again FAM is thankful to all the members of all Associations for the support & expect same as & when required in future'
SteelMint assessed the today trade activity. Maharashtra in general trade remain close in evening session also as trader, brokers, and manufacturer refuse to supply material. In Kalamaboli its herd seven weigh bridge remain close out of eight. Nagpur trade activity remain complete shutdown. Pune activity remain open as shopkeepers and transporter agree to book the material and transport.
