Steel billet prices in China’s Tangshan rose by RMB 20/t ($3/t) on 24 Aug’21. Prices of domestic billet stood at RMB 4,930/t ($761/t), inclusive of 13% VAT. According to data maintained with SteelMint, China’s re-bar futures contract for Jan’22 delivery closed today at RMB 5,235/t ($808/t), witnessing an increase of RMB 133/t ($20/t).
