SAIL held an auction for 3,600 t of basic grade pig iron on 23 Aug’21 from its Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) in Odisha. Buyers booked the entire quantity of 36 units at INR 37,700/t exw, sources informed SteelMint. Bid prices decreased by INR 500/t ($6/t) in comparison with the previous auction on 16 Aug, which had concluded at a weighted average price of INR 38,200/t exw.
