Alang’s shipbreaking scrap prices witnessed a parallel correction of INR 600-700/t much like yesterday’s closing, as per SteelMint assessment. HMS (80:20) prices were assessed at INR 35,200-35,300/t, while attachment scrap prices stood at INR 36,200-36,300/t. Adequate offers from scrapyards as well as a considerable correction in semi-finished steel prices on 20 Aug’21 in the Bhavnagar and Ahmedabad markets matched offers and bids today.
