India’s iron ore production for Jun’21 was recorded at 21.5 mn t, lower by 5% m-o-m, SteelMint data shows. Merchant iron ore availability in Odisha is expected to remain tight as the government has imposed heavy penalties on auctioned mines, including JSW and AM/NS India, for missing MDPA targets.
