State-run Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) will conduct the fifth price discovery on 15 Oct’21 against the ‘open tender’ for procurement of 28,800 t of high carbon (HC) ferro chrome (Cr60%) for the Salem Steel Plant (SSP) issued on 27 Jan. The price discovery was to happen once in two months. The delivery is on a freight on-road (FoR) basis for 3,000 t per month as per the SSP delivery schedule. The bidder is required to keep the price bid valid for at least 30 days from the date of price discovery through the reverse auction/ price discovery mechanism.
