China’s CRC production increased 18.4% during Jan-Jul’21, y-o-y

Chinese steel mills produced 25.319 million tonnes (mn t) of cold-rolled coils (CRC) in the Jan-Jul’21 period, an increase of 18.4% year-on-year, as per latest data released by the country’s National Bureau of Statistics. CRC production stood at 21.384 mn t in the same period last year. In Jul’21 production fell by 1.5% y-o-y to 3.504 mn t likely due to the ongoing production curbs in China.
