State-owned Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) conducted an auction for a negligible quantity of around 200 t (two lots) of silico manganese (56/16, 3-10mm) from its Chandrapur Ferro Alloy Plant in Maharashtra on 18 Aug’21. Buyers booked the entire quantity at INR 77,250/t exw. Bids increased by INR 1,100/t ($14/t). Silico manganese 0-3mm material was not offered at the auction. At the previous auction on 9 Aug, buyers had booked the entire quantity of 0-3mm material at INR 59,300/t, while the 3-10mm material had been sold at INR 76,150/t exw.
