Taiwan: Ferrous scrap imports fall 18% on year in Jan-Jul’21

Ferrous scrap imports by Taiwan dropped by 18% to 1.74 mn t in the Jan-Jul’21 period as against 2.13 mn t in Jan-Jun’20.
In Jul’21, imports rose by 4% to 0.23 mn t compared to 0.22 mn t in Jun.
The US was the largest exporter at 0.11 mn t followed by Australia and Japan at 0.02 mn t and 0.01 mn t respectively, as per SteelMint data.
