Steel major SAIL has scheduled an auction for 2,000 t (one rake) of basic grade pig iron on 18 Aug’21. At the previous auction held on 14 Aug, a total of 4,000 t (two rakes) of pig iron had been concluded at INR 38,225/t, sources reported. Bids had increased by INR 3,125/t compared to the earlier auction on 7 Jul for two rakes which had concluded at a weighted average price of INR 35,100/t exw, as per SteelMint reports.
