China: Raw coal output falls 3.3% in Jul’21

China’s raw coal production reached 310 mn t in Jul’21, down 3.3% y-o-y and 1.7% m-o-m, according to data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). During Jan-Jul’21, however, cumulative coal production was at 2.26 bn t, up 4.9% from the same period last year, bolstered by strong demand for winter heating and robust industrial activity.
