South India-based pellet producer KIOCL had issued an export tender for sale of 55,000 t (Fe 63%) pellets with alumina content of 2% (max). The tender fetched no response, SteelMint learnt from sources. The state-owned company may go for an off-the-tender deal in the next couple of days. KIOCL’s previous tender, floated in the beginning of Aug’21, was concluded at $195/t FoB. The company has a 3.5 mn t/year pellet plant in Karnataka.
