PSU steelmaker Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) has scheduled an auction for 3,000 t of steel grade pig iron (in 30 units) from the Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) in Odisha on 16 Aug’21. At the previous auction on 9 Aug, 4,000 t of pig iron was booked at INR 37,900/t exw, as per SteelMint reports. Bid prices decreased by INR 350/t ($4/t) compared with the previous auction on 3 Aug’21, which had concluded at a weighted average price of INR 38,250/t exw.
