Ferrous scrap import prices into Pakistan have moved up since a few were deals finalised recently, as per sources. Prices have increased by $5/t since the beginning of this week.
- A few mills booked around 15,000-20,000 t of containerised shredded scrap from the US and UK at $525-530/t CFR Port Qasim.
- Buyers in Pakistan are actively procuring scrap after indications of prices bottoming out.
