Pellet sponge (P-DRI, FeM 80%) prices in Raipur increased by INR 300/t today to INR 31,300/t exw, which has nearly touched a three-month high as the same range was last seen during mid-May’21. Seasonal supply concerns and strong demand continue to support sponge iron prices in central India, SteelMint notes.
- About 7,000 t of P-DRI deals were reported at INR 31,100-31,300/t, while a few producers raised offers to INR 31,400-31,600/t on exw and FoR Raipur basis.
- Offers for DR CLO grade sponge iron increased by INR 300/t to INR 34,500/t as bids were reported at INR 34,300-400/t exw.
