Indian mill concludes 30,000 t pig iron export deal

An Indian mill has concluded an export tender for 30,000 tonnes (t) of steel grade pig iron for end-Aug shipment, market sources informed SteelMint. The tender was concluded at $580/t, CFR East Asia. Indian pig iron exports rose sharply by 169% in FY’21 to 1.03 mn t. JSPL, JSW Steel, Vedanta and RINL were the key exporters.
