Union Steel Minister Ram Chandra Prasad Singh reviewed the EC and FC issues of CPSEs under the Ministry of Steel today which are pending with the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change (MoEF&CC) as well as state governments. The issues pertaining to SAIL, NMDC, OMDC, MOIL and KIOCL were deliberated in detail. The steel ministry is regularly interacting with the MoEF&CC to grant approvals in a time bound manner. Singh appreciated the progress made in obtaining approvals and directed the ministry to take up pending issues with the MOEF&CC and the respective state governments for an early resolution.
