JSW Steel’s crude steel production reached 1.382 mn t in Jul’21, up 11% y-o-y against 1.246 mn t in the same month last year, as per the company’s latest BSE filing. Furthermore, production moved up 1% m-o-m against 1.362 mn t in Jun.
Production break-up:
- Rolled flat products down to 0.934 mn t in Jul against 0.940 mn t a year ago due to planned shutdown taken for one of the converters at the Vijayanagar works.
- Volume of rolled long products stood at 0.306 mn t in Jul, up 28% in comparison with 0.240 mn t in the year-ago period.
- Average capacity utilisation stood at 92% in Jul.
